If I become the manager of a restaurant which has high employee turnover, I will try to assess the reasons for employee turnover in the first place. I will start observing the behavior and consequences of employees in the restaurant. I will definitely keep an eye on the service and the ways the employees are following to serve the customers. I will also look for the employees who really work hard in all kinds of situations (Wood, 2019). Rather than discussing with anybody about my thoughts, I will definitely give some time for myself in observing the staff. Once I understand the situations in the restaurant, I will conduct a meeting and talk to the employees on any issues they have in the workplace. I will try to understand the problems from their point of view and try to solve them if they have a reliable solution. I will try to wrap up the employees with the restaurant before they decide on leaving the restaurant. If at all the situation is past my hands and some employee already decided to leave the restaurant, then I will try to have a friendly conversation with the employee to better understand the issues in the restaurant and the reasons why the employee have decided to leave this workplace. If there is a solution to keep up the employee, I will try to keep up the employee for the restaurant especially if he/she is a hardworking and dedicated kind of employee (Moltz, 2017). If not, I will take a note of his points and try to verify and change this for the better. Also, I will start an employee rewarding program which makes the employees work for better output. This kind of reward programs makes employees work better in a competitive mood for the benefit of the restaurant. All the employees will work hard for being the best employee and get rewarded. Also, it is important to be competitive in a highly competitive market. It is very important to pay the employees enough in the competition to the rivals in the industry. This makes the employees stay with us for a really long time.
